They provide care to patients before surgery, which may include placing IVs, administering medications, and other preparatory procedures such as placement of the patient in the Operating Room. During the procedure the Circulator Nurse observes from outside the sterile field and assists the team to create and maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the patient.<br><br>Scrub Nurses work within the sterile surgical field. This Nurse assists the surgeon by setting up the equipment and handling instruments during the procedure while also monitoring the patient’s condition. They may also be assigned to tasks such as bringing in supplies or transporting samples to pathology.<br><br>We provide Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN) approved training schedule which includes two weeks of classroom training followed by hands-on training with a Preceptor. They provide care to patients before surgery, which may include placing IVs, administering medications, and other preparatory procedures such as placement of the patient in the Operating Room. During the procedure the Circulator Nurse observes from outside the sterile field and assists the team to create and maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the patient.<br><br>Scrub Nurses work within the sterile surgical field. This Nurse assists the surgeon by setting up the equipment and handling instruments during the procedure while also monitoring the patient’s condition. They may also be assigned to tasks such as bringing in supplies or transporting samples to pathology.<br><br>We provide Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN) approved training schedule which includes two weeks of classroom training followed by hands-on training with a Preceptor. How often the RN circulates versus scrubs once done with training is dependent on the needs of the individual department / team as well as the preferences of the RN.<br><br>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:<br>- Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of Missouri<br>- A minimum of one year of experience as a licensed RN in an Operating Room Setting<br>- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification<br>- Ability to take call as required, call response time is 30 minutes.<br><br>ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS:<br>- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR)<br>- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification<br><br>SSM ST.
