MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The Vice President of Delivery System Integration directs regional level efforts toward expansion of value based care and maturation of a coordinated and patient-centered care delivery model across the continuum of care. This includes leadership and management of a series of cross functional teams which include clinicians from multiple entities, care areas, quality improvement professionals, information technology professionals, as well as management and leadership from throughout the organization to drive this transformational shift across and within multiple domains.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Oversee the Clinical Informatics function, and integrate its work with other related clinical effectiveness functions across the network. Create informational tools to guide the focus of value improvement; perform predictive modeling; support timely, evidence based clinical decision making; and report, trend and analyze historical data to improve performance and support performance accountability.
● Develop a vision for the long term "architecture" needed to support value based delivery across the clinical continuum integrating: clinical process design; infrastructure and care delivery development; IT, analytical and reporting tools for information managed care across the continuum; and effective incentive and accountability systems.
● Identify opportunity areas for value improvement through care delivery redesign.
● Lead a process through which key leaders within the hospitals, SSM Medical Group, SSM Home Care entities, and designated third party affiliates collaborate to build tools, systems and processes to drive of value improvement across the continuum. Champion the development of tools which promote population health measurement and continuous improvement, including optimization of electronic health records, disease registry development and establishment of a performance reports from the physician, practice and regional perspectives.
● Advance the development and implementation of value based contracts, and collaborate with the Vice President of the SSM Managed Care Organization to increase the number of lives and optimize performance within value based contractual agreements among both private and public payors.
● Evaluate the opportunities associated with participating in innovative programs and demonstrations, as developed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and the CMS Center for Innovation. Lead the design and deployment of select initiatives identified as desirable steps toward the transformation to value based care.
● Establish integrated value-based relationships with independent physicians and organizations across the continuum of care.
● Communicate transformational change to a wide array of stakeholders throughout the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

● Master's Degree required (MSN, MBA, MHA or similar).
● Mastery of the Microsoft Suite of Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Visio.
● Experience with clinical effectiveness research, evidence based medicine and emerging models of population health management.
● Working knowledge of statistical analysis and use of data to study and improve process performance and reduce variation.
● Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and manage multiple ongoing, concurrent projects.
● Basic understanding of report writing and the analytical development process.
● Experience in preparing and delivering written and oral reports.
● Knowledge of:
● Healthcare industry and operations, both within a medical group and hospital setting.

OPPORTUNITY DESCRIPTION:
SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center is currently looking for the right person to join our Surgical Services Team as a both a Circulator / Scrub Nurse.

Circulator Nurses are RNs that are responsible for managing the nursing care of the patient within the Operating Room and coordinating the needs of the surgical team. They provide care to patients before surgery, which may include placing IVs, administering medications, and other preparatory procedures such as placement of the patient in the Operating Room. During the procedure the Circulator Nurse observes from outside the sterile field and assists the team to create and maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the patient.

Scrub Nurses work within the sterile surgical field. This Nurse assists the surgeon by setting up the equipment and handling instruments during the procedure while also monitoring the patient’s condition. They may also be assigned to tasks such as bringing in supplies or transporting samples to pathology.

We provide Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN) approved training schedule which includes two weeks of classroom training followed by hands-on training with a Preceptor. How often the RN circulates versus scrubs once done with training is dependent on the needs of the individual department / team as well as the preferences of the RN.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of Missouri
- A minimum of one year of experience as a licensed RN in an Operating Room Setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Ability to take call as required, call response time is 30 minutes.
