Under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist, provides clinical support to the department in all aspects of radiation physics. Assumes responsibility for NRC inspection, involvement in CQI and JCAHO
Demonstrates the philosophy of the sponsoring religious congregations, through SSM Health Care values, and tenets of integrated health care while giving leadership and innovation of the health care ministry
Requirements Include:
- Master's Degree in Medical Physics.
- Certification from American Board of Radiology or American Board of Medical Physics.
- 3-5 years of experience.
- Experience with Nucletron HDR and Tomo Therapy would be an advantage.
- Support and fulfill the mission and values of SSM.
- Requires effective oral and written communication skills
- Must have the ability to exercise sound judgment, use discretion and work with limited supervision.
- Must be able to identify problems/issues, separate into constituent parts or elements, and examine each part critically and logically.
