Description: Select Positions within a Malcolm Baldrige Award Winning Hospital
Under general supervision, carries out routine procedures such as inoculating and incubating culture media, preparing karyotypes, maintaining tissue cell culture lines, etc. Performs a variety of clerical tasks for the assigned section. Operates and maintains instrumentation according to established procedures and protocols. Serves as a resource person for laboratory staff, physicians, nurses, and other health professionals. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Registered as a Medical Technologist by the Registry Board of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, NCA or AMT
- 1 year of related field experience preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- High level of motivation to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Ability to multitask and have strong attention to detail.
- Support and fulfill the mission and values of SSM.
- Every 8th Saturday rotation.
